Judy Blume to be guest at next year's book fest


Her books may be banned in some places, but Hattiesburg will welcome this popular children's author with the open arms of librarians.

Judy Blume will be a special guest at the 42nd Fay B. Kaigler Children's Book Festival at the University of Southern Mississippi next year....

...This year's festival wraps up today. Clues given throughout the week teased more than 300 librarians about the identity of the special guest.

A few who knew it was Blume shared the news with Southern Miss President Martha Saunders, who gasped and put her hand over her mouth during this year's festival.
