One has to question why someone with no apparent background in the administration of accredtitation has this role. I honestly don't want to slight this individual but hasn't Invictus (and others) already indicated that SACS has a pool of qualified individuals to draw from? Hasn't Amy Young indicated that Myron Henry is but one of the individuals on campus with extensive accreditation, specifically SACS accreditaion, expertise?
Why is Shelby so reluctant to utilize the people who know how it is supposed to be done?
myron has been a member of visiting teams. I heard brad bond say that he was going to try and involve myron about 2 years ago, but it apparently didn't happen. why not ask those people what happened?
as to SACS consultants--good idea. They cost $600 / day.

Klumb referred to M. Henry three times in that 2003 Clarion-Ledger letter. M. Henry didn't sound like one of Klumb's favorite people. Maybe this has something to do with M. Henry not being asked to lend a hand.

Didn't Shelby say the university would spend $500,000 to fix this mess? A consultant with expertise may be a better value than a "one of our own" loyalist without any.

Why would we need to spend $500,000 to correct this? What has happened during the past 10 years has happened. $500,000 can't alter that. Maybe in Chicago, but not here.

So in other words, with the money we're spending on Hamilton, we could get 120 days of somebody who's specializes in what we need, instead of our grow-your-own, on-the-job training project. Marvelous. These domers amaze me.
