It appears from Flemming's comments that there is no "gap" in the records.  Instead, it appears that during the four years in question the required SACS reports were filed and no additional communications were expected.  This is consistent with the procedures for many accrediting bodies.  Does Exline know so little about SACS accreditation that she didn't understand the expected communications or is she part of the Thames coverup?  In either case, it raises concerns about her ability to lead our accreditaiton efforts.

We don't build bridges without our engineers.

We don't go to court without our lawyers.

We don't have surgery without our doctors,

And we don't run accredited universities without our academics.

Time to start running this business like a university.

With all due respect, nay gratitude, to the two awards committees that kept up our spirits during the waiting times, we now need to be putting our energies into contacting the media and the IHL rather than into self-congratulation.

I'm trying to formulate my own letter to the IHL and will post it once its done.  In fact, though many of us post until pseudonyms, any of us who can report back about something we've written will be encouraging the rest.  I will be transferring this message to a new post.

There was some question about the most recent addresses of ALL the IHL board members.  Remind me, has that been updated on the AAUP main page?  And when, again, is the IHL meeting?

With all due respect back Dr. Lares, please do not assume that the two activities are mutually exclusive.

Oh indeed not, dear Mal.  Rather, those great lines you so rightly honor (though I'm not sure about my own) need to go out into the community rather than stopping here.

No indeed, please accept my thanks for all your efforts.
