Recently, I noticed some discoloration of two of my USM diplomas, which have been hanging on my office wall for years. Then I noticed spots on the leather diploma case I have framed with my PhD sheepskin.
A professional framer told me it was mildew or mold & that they were probably ruined.

I don't even know where mine are, Vic. I think I will keep them hidden for now.

Invictus,
SFT has managed to do everything to destroy USM, Do you think SFT has a polymer product that will restore your diplomas????

Imagine that you are a PhD student in your last year of study. You have passed your doctoral comps and are researching and preparing to write your dissertation.
Imagine that all of the blood, sweat, and tears (not to mention a future of paying off student loans) might be for nil, because your doctorate might be issued by a non accreditated university.
There are many students affected by this...but most of all, doctoral candidates who can't vote with their feet by leaving for an accreditated university.

I wouldn't want to put anything developed by SFT on my diplomas. One of them has William McCain's signature on it & that's bad enough.

FS, I hear you. Oh, how I hear you.
Truth (2 classes away from finishing her PhD coursework at USM)

Doctoral students are not the only group adversely affected. Don't forget the undergraduates who plan to apply to graduate school elsewhere. And don't forget the students who want to teach in Missisippi's public schools. The problem would be almost insurmoutable.
Well, dang! I thought somebody would know an environmentally friendly, non-polymeric way to restore my diplomas. I guess it will probaby take an act of the legislature...

Invictus, you need a librarian. That's right, a librarian, one trained in restoration and preservation. I think we used to have one, but she retired in the first exodus in year 1 of the Thames regime. I bet we can't afford anyone with that specialty now. (Correct me librarians . . . )

Invictus, I must respectfully claim the victory here. My undergraduate diploma is signed by Gov. Ray Blanton of Tennessee. He went to prison shortly thereafter.

Yes, and your diss topic having been tentatively approved, imagine further that two members of your committee, including your chair and mentor, have abruptly departed the university due to Thames' shennanigans, and you're living and teaching 3100 miles away in another country wondering what-in-the-hell am I supposed to do now? A member of my immediate family now finds himself in this frightening position. It just goes on and on.....

LOL! Well, my Eagle Scout certificate is signed by Richard Nixon. How does that rank?
