Our two new marquee coaches are off to a somewhat dubious start. The Lady Eagles are now 2-4, and have set two rather unenviable records: (1) first Lady Eagle team to go 0-2 in the Lady Eagle classic, and (2) this Lady Eagle team set the USM record for turnovers --- a whopping, amazing record of 48 turnovers (about 3 game's worth of turnovers) --- at UL,Monroe the other night. That's 14 more turnovers (about a game's worth) than the previous record of 34 (about 2 game's worth), or about a 40% increase over the previous number.
The citizens of Nitchampville are getting restless.
To be fair, all indications are that the previous coaches left the cupboard bare. College coaching is all about recruiting. Wait until year three before you decide how these coaches are doing.

My models suggest that, if you assume the average possession in a WBB is 12 seconds, each team has an 'expectation' of 100 possessions per 40 minute basketball game. This means that McNelis managed to get a turnover out of her bunch on every other possession. That's nice.
