Assistant Professor, Workforce Training and Development University of Southern Mississippi (Mississippi) (date posted: 11/30/2004) http://chronicle.com/jobs/id.php?id=312186&pg=e
It was listed under openings in Curriculum and Instruction.
Maybe that was already listed on CISE's 7 or 8 new openings, but it's the first time it's been advertised here.
I just rechecked and there are 8 listed opening with one being "Clinical Positions" that obviously ups the number on hirees so this new opening is the 9th official listing.
You've got to consider who is the chair of the dept. hiring. And, don't be telling me that SFT won't be outright nepotisitc - he already has been - time and time again.

Isn't this really an economic development position? 2:1 odds that the best candidate will turn out to be a former USM graduate student from the one of a kind program. An interesting way to get around the potential hiring freeze is to self-fund the position - now that's creative!
