"University of Southern Mississippi President Martha Saunders must be smiling today - as would most who suddenly received a windfall. After only two months on the job, she got a $25,000 pay raise Wednesday. That was on top of $100,000 in a previously announced supplement, including $50,000 from the USM foundation and $50,000 from her university's alumni association. All totaled, she'll now earn $345,500. That's quite a boost from the $260,000 she earned at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater."
