Thanks Flash. I'll be honored to meet all of you, the real USM freedom fighters, as well. In fact, I'd suggest that a pre-Coming Out Party be given serious consideration. Although Thames is still in office, I'm not convinced he's really in power any longer. Surely a modest celebration over the forced departures of Dvorak and Hanbury is in order. Just give me a couple of days notice and I'll be there...

No, "Aubrey Keith" was never a member of the Bent Creek Homeowners Association, but the list of "the departed" (former Bent Creek residents) includes former Provost Andy Griffin and former COS&T Associate Dean M.J. McMahan. Some of us 'oldtimers' remember when SFT was named President, that the 'ameliorative' faction counted on Andy to serve as a moderating factor -- too bad he left for Georgia so soon!

You come and see me, East Texas, you and all yo' friends. You gots to hurry though cuz the storm is comin', HIS storm.
My mother (early 70's) and most of the people her age in her neighborhood are not planning to drive to a different polling place to vote solely on the bond issue. It will be interesting to see how the split precinct situation effects that vote. I predict a defeat for the bond.

This confuses things even more. We keep getting different messages. How complex things have become, locally and nationally, especially in Florida. Lawyers all over the nation monitoring the polling places. I remember the days when all one had to do to vote in Mississippi was to pay their $2.00 poll tax.

If we've got lawyers all over the nation doing the monitoring - we truly are doomed!!!!
