Several years ago there was a rumor that some one was writing a book about the debacles at USM. I'm curious as to what ever happened to it. Is it about to go to press? Is some one on the board diligently writing the final chapter as I write this?

Whatever happened to the faculty member -- Melissa Whiting, if I recall correctly -- who filed suit against USM?  What is the current status of her suit?

the federal portion of the Whiting case is apparently over since the U.S. supreme court denied hearing her appeal of a lower court ruling (technically, it denied cert.)
