Such an exciting day. Thanks for making us aware of this ongoing coverage by the newspaper. Hoping I can pick up the afternoon live feed. Only one thing bothers me: "The seven administrators around the table would be the ones closest to Saunders if the College Board elects at the end of the day today to approve her as the president of Southern Miss." Surely this is the American only. She needs her own team--not the SFT holdovers.
I will be interested to see what these seven folks do. Any incoming president is going to want a new team. I hope she will move quickly to establish her own team.

A big part of how much time I spend is going to come from what I hear from you, she said. There has to be order on the campus. But the large part of the day-to-day work is done by the provost. When its humming along like it should then I will be free to seek outside funding.

The current team is likely reeling from Tom Meredith's comment that Dr. Saunders may start as soon as May 21.
