According to the headlines "Senators want banner removed" , two SGA senators have co--authored a resolution to remove the banner that covers Panhellenic Hall (Wilbur Hall is it's official name), The banner can be viewed as you travel on Hwy 49 and covers 72 residents window, (from the third floor to the eighth floor.) According to the article, Joe Paul visited some of the rooms and was quoted as stating that the banner "blocks some of the light coming in" LSM is quoted "I hate that (the banner) has gotten negative reactions. It does give a positive message to passers-by,"
The Banner shows a student (blonde female) working on some project, with the "freeing the power of the individual"

Each banner was made for it's specific location and that one is pending for the Johnson Science Tower. LSM is also quoted "We asked ourselves, 'How can we get a big imaje across campus?'"

NOT to be funny, but on the top side of the stadium (west side ) there IS a Cellular South banner indicating it's the provider for USM athletics.

As far as your comments about Tier 4 go, were it not for a few people under Thames who did not care how much they hurt USM, this school would still be at Tier 3. Now that Thames is taking control of the data reporting and other US News survery reporting, you folks are going to have to devise another scheme for next year to keep USM from going back to Tier 3. When you come up with your next tactic, just remember how much you are hurting USM and the innocent bystanders who still have the courage to stay here.

Get real.  I have as much stake in USM as anyone.  I'd love nothing more than for USM to rise to Tier 2 and beat MS State and Ole Miss to the punch.  But it isn't going to happen under SFT...not anywhere, not anytime.

What a ridiculous post!  As if all of us on this board infiltrated the Dome and caused SFT and LSM to "forget" to report the numbers to USN&WR.  The tier drop was a direct result of SFT's mismanagement, case closed.

Be careful not to buy into the spin...the rankings drop was not a result of anyone not reporting numbers to USN&WR.  The rankings drop was a result of the perceived decline in quality at USM under the Thames growth at all costs and economic development without substance strategy.
