Alcorn State: Presidential searches still secretive

s became the blueprint when Mississippi State was in the market for a new president, the College Board continues to allow Higher Education Commissioner Tom Meredith and his search consultant Jan Greenwood to shroud the search for the next president of Alcorn State University in secret.

Hiding behind the absolute sham of so-called "search advisory committees" at both MSU and now ASU, the presidential search processes in Mississippi are being conducted in front of a small, hand-picked group without broad input from university students, faculties and alumni.

To be sure, the few alumni who control foundation salary supplements to presidential salaries are kept in the loop....
