University of Southern Mississippi presidential prospects will be interviewed Friday and Saturday in Jackson.
State College Board officials will not disclose names of the candidates.
Jay Grimes, the USM provost who filled in for President Shelby Thames at a College Board meeting in Jackson last week, would not comment when asked whether he's a candidate for the post.
The board is expected to name a successor to Thames, who is retiring, by early April, said board spokeswoman Annie Mitchell.
