Now Shelby is really gonna have some "cognitive dissonance," because it's hard to publicly dislike a guy that just delivered a road win against a significant name football team.

I missed most of the game due to other pressing matters. Did the Bower contract issue ever get mentioned by the sportscasters?

Congrats to Jeff and the Golden Eagles Football team for bringing home a WIN against a "named" football team that has won no less than five national championships.

ABC Sports provided no information on the Bower contract issue. In addition did anyone else see the Nebraska commercial? The commercial had to do with cataract (surgery) research with the tagline: "we have the people, the tools and the vision. That's what you would expect from a major research instituition"

The Southern Miss commercial not impressive.......................

Actually, I'm glad the contract issue was not brought up, since it would affect recruitment to some extent & would've been a negative in something that is really about the kids & coaches, not the idots that run the school.

That said, has anybody ordered a keg?

It should be interesting to see how Shelby reacts to this great accomplishment by Coach Bower and his kids. Somehow, some way, Shelby'll do something to leave a bitter taste in the mouth of all those who enjoyed the game and are so happy for Coach Bower. Shelby's so worthless he can "screw up a rock fight," to quote an old friend of mine....

Shelby is just waiting for the Cal game. If Jeff doesn't win that one he can say "What have you done for me lately." SFT will then be back to square one with Bower.

I'm laughing. The locker room humor works on this thread BIG time. Shelby really doesn't want to take a person like Bower on - I believe Jeff will win that little battle BIG time as well!!!
