The University of Southern Mississippi College of Arts and Letters will host a remembrance ceremony Thursday, January 25 for the late Dr. Elliott Pood, dean of the college, who died unexpectedly Wednesday.
 
Doors will open at 11:45 a.m. in the Mannoni Performing Arts Center Auditorium on the university’s Hattiesburg campus for the ceremony, which will begin at 12:20 p.m. and conclude at 12:50 p.m. Music will be provided by the Southern Miss School of Music.

The University R.O.T.C. will fire a cannon in honor of Dr. Pood.

The University Community is invited to attend.
