Anti-retaliation Policy. The University of Iowa encourages its faculty, staff, and students to make good faith disclosures of University-related misconduct. The commitment to improve the quality of the University through such disclosures is vital to the well-being of the entire campus community. Retaliation as a response to such disclosure will not be tolerated. Retaliation, whether actual or threatened, destroys a sense of community and trust that is central to a quality environment. Obviously, SFT's response to that suggestion would be to try and hire yet another "Legal Counsel to the President" as evidenced in another thread. FS, I wish it were possible, but my faith in all that is right in academia is just shot when it comes to USM under Papa Shelboo.
Retaliation is a major component of SFT's management style, so an anti-retaliation policy would cause even more cognitive dissonance than already clouds the Dome.
(And no, I'm not going to consider this particular variant of my usual nom de guerre for the weekly award...)

Cognitive dissonance: a fancy way of saying they don't know what the **** they're doing.
