Anyone know who's winning Dean Jeopardy?

Dave Beckett representing Fac Senate faced off against the college Deans (only three were there, And he WON!!!!!

And his comment to the crowd is "See this shows you that ONE faculty member is better then THREE Deans combined"

What is "Dean Jeapordy?" Beckett "faced off" in what sort of contest? How did he win? What does all of this mean? For the sake of those of us who do not reside in Hattiesburg please tell us.

"Southern Miss Jeopardy" was played at Golden Eagle Revelry, which was held at the stadium this afternoon. The deans (or their proxy, as was the case with Health dean Fos, who was not there), Beckett from FS and someone from Staff Council faced off, with John Cox (the "voice" of Golden Eagle athletics) serving as "Alex Trebek." Each player was allowed to tag team with someone who s/he perceived to be well-versed in Southern Miss history.

For some unknown reason, HD picked DGT as his partner (perhaps there was some strategic decision for selecting SFT's progeny, who knows). When attempting to answer the question about the name of the annual rivalry football game between Southern Miss and Tulane (which is the "Battle of the Bell"), DGT shook her gold pom-pom (which was the "buzzer") and promptly replied, "the Egg Bowl!"

FYI, Dave Beckett was by himself and did not have any additional help. Dean Pood and Co. scored 10 points, Dave scored 11.

I do not remember the other scores, "some help" please.

Sorry, Green Hornet, but I do not remember the other scores. The only thing I remember is DGT's "Egg Bowl" response. (For those who may not know, the "Egg Bowl" is the nickname of the annual football game between Ole Miss and Mississippi State.)

The dogs were good (for some reason, ball park dogs ALWAYS taste good!) and the cookies standard "Unique Catering" fare (they were good too!) Ms Kim was there and running things. The Diet Coke was iced and welcomed in that hot sun.

Dang it! I can't stand all the negativity & outright hatred in this thread!

But nobody said whether the Dean's Jeopardy scores were on the Jumbotron.

Sorry! I didn't notice if the scores were, but the Jumbotron did have Dave Beckett doing a victory dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
