USM offers more variety in food service

Not everything about outsourcing is bad:

Southern Miss's food services employees were offered jobs with Aramark. Josephine Burkett and Diane Brown, who've worked together for 26 years, both transferred to Aramark.

"It's been a big change," Burkett said. "We got a big raise, something we haven't had in six or seven years."

Aramark employees got about a 5 percent raise, officials said.
