It has been clear to me that the trolls adopt a name, hit the board with an onslaught of "pro-administration/anti-faculty" sentiment, and, just when other posters are getting fed up with their devisive tactics, the trolls pull back. Witness Online Prof's recent antics: attack, attack, disappear for a couple of days, attack.
Beware, people! Don't let these puppets cloud your vision. We must keep asking the tough questions.
Oh, me too. We're bad, we truly are. But hey, OP doesn't have time to read our posts anyway. (Truth, OP's writing style reminds me of a professor we discussed via email a while back. Same technique of blaming the respondent no matter what, and some interesting turns of phrase.)

LVN, you are so right. What's weird, too, is that OP wants to maintain his own anonymity, but doesn't seem to care about others' anonymity (the whole "I will not accept emails from any domain but 'usm.edu'). It would be interesting to find out how many faculty members took him up on his offer...my guess? A big fat ZERO!

Or it could be due to the monolithic test grading.

Can you show me where he attacked anyone? Is someone else logging in under his name perhaps? He followed up on an idea that actually did have some support and you accuse him of attacking people? If you can’t beat them with better ideas or plans, you use dirty tactics instead. Win, win, win, at all costs. Your tough questions are actually declaratives.

He has "put down" non-faculty members on this board. He has asked "real faculty members" to send email to him using their very identifiable "usm.edu" email addresses (while failing to provide his "usm.edu" email address). And he has proposed some sort of bizarre "take-over" of the board after only posting here a few times. Don't you think it makes sense that longtime board members would be suspicious of this person?

Yes, most of you should be very suspicious. Current faculty and aaup members should not be though. It is almost irrelevant now though isn’t it. You guys did a pretty good job in getting rid of his plan.

Question to YeeHaw,
Why should current faculty and aaup members NOT be suspicious? I'm just wondering what you base this statement on, since you state in the previous sentence that "Yes, most of you should be very suspicious". You contradict yourself, .......since a majority of those who do read/post to this message board are faculty or aaup members (or both).
Individuals like Frank G., Jim H, Stephen Judd, and many others including myself are faculty or former faculty.
The reason faculty are suspicious is that this administration has targeted faculty who don't "toe the company line".

Once again the board trouble-makers resort to the larger fonts. Must teach that at Troll School.....
In fairness, let's don't read too much into fonts. I just switched browsers and my fonts are all screwed up. What I type in the comment block does not match what shows up on the board. Actually, with this browser, it's not giving me any font options or html options like italics or underline.
