Those faculty who are concerned about using your USM email address, but still wish to talk to me, can send me email through your USM email address and then give me your alternative email address. I will then contact you at that alternative email address from a non-USM email address. My email address is onlineprof@myway.com.

Wouldn't that initial contact via the USM address reveal the sender's identity? Why not reveal your identity and accept emails from any address?
