"USM President Shelby Thames introduced a new commercial for the Freeing the Power of the individual campaign and welcomed new, remaining faculty members. He also congratulated student enrollment for this semester.

"Each fall we welcome new students to our campus and I'm happy to say that we reached a record number this year, and I want to thank Dr. Joe Paul and his colleagues," said Thames. "Paul tells me this is the largest number of freshmen that he's seen in quite some years almost a 10 percent increase in the freshmen class."
