I just heard that Dana Keith resigned today. I have not been able to confirm this and do not know what her current position is. At one time I believe she was the internal auditor.
i'm not sure about the details but it was about a year ago and she got demoted from a position she held. she's a great person, knows budget well. my wife who has worked with her praises her to the heavens.

It was part of the musical chairs game in financial affairs around February that ended up with Sam Thomas going to Ole Miss. The word is that she really knew the budget better than anybody, but was moved out of the budget director's position.

I believe at one time Dana Keith was Director of Budget. I heard she took the position of Assistant VP of Finance at U. of Alabama and will start August 2nd.
The other person involved in the musical chair game orchestrated by Pileum was Beth Cooksey, who was moved from Physical Plant Accounting to the Budget Office. She has submitted her resignation and is going to be a financial officer at a college in Tennessee. This means her husband, Terry Cooksey, manager of the Central Ticket Office, will be leaving too.
I do not know the rationale for this game of musical chairs, but the end result is that three top notch administrators in a critical area of the university have decided not to play the game.

I dunno if this proves that USM is worl' class, but I'm sure we're about to hear that it does. More likely, it proves that Dana Keith is very competent when it comes to budgeting. Good for her!
The incompetent Linda McFall created the who ordeal which caused Sam to leave. If the rumors are true about Dana and Beth thenthat too was a reaction to Linda's screw ups. The word there is that the IHL is very dissatisfied with Linda and trying to find a quiet way to let her go.
