Could the web community here help me? I've got lots of cardboard boxes to break down and recycle, and the USM website on recycling says it does have places to take such materials, but it only says what 5-6 buildings have bins, and that one must look at those bins to figure out what materials are collected there. I found that hardly efficient or encouraging, so I e-mailed the listed contact for further information. Apparently that person has left, as the message bounced back with permanent fatal errors.
So, where in Hattiesburg or preferably at USM can one take cardboard for recycling?
At least two places: (1) in the parking lot at Kamper Park, between the tennis courts, water department and Cameron Field; or (2) behind the main Fire Department building downtown, at the corner of McLeod and Forrest Streets.
Thanks, Ram. Someone else who reads the list but doesn't post told me about Kamper Park and also a collection point for cardboard + newspaper on the northeast side of the Walmart parking lot on 98. I'm still wondering where the recycling is on campus--or does USM not get any proceeds back from whatever the recycler makes?
There are a few of collection bins in the lot where the motor pool is located (across 4th). I don't know what materials can be put in these bins, though.

They only take newspaper and Aluminum cans at that location.
