1. Based on his tv interview JB is not too happy about not having his contract.  Word from baller is that the ESPN and other tv crews are probably going to mention this fiasco more than once this fall, further embarrassing USM before national and sometimes international television audiences. 

2. Word from crusader is that WCC has a big new student orientation push this week.  They have been seeing good things this past spring and summer, and hope to keep pressing hard.  Thanks crusader.

3. artsy reports that word of the merit raises in the COAL is starting to get out.  Doesn't look like the facsen plan was implemented from the numbers that are coming out.

4. envelope says to stay tuned on the HD court watch.  The FIA deadline is coming up in a few days, and all indications are that Doty will not comply with the so far "friendly" request to do so.  compaq says he may be safe for a day or two longer as the e-mail system in the college is offline.  Thanks compaq and envelope.

5. According to gorod and ntsft, LSM enjoys kicking TH around these days.  Word is that "the guy is getting no respect" from much of anyone these days, "especially LSM."  Rumor has it that he has to clear his activities through her office now.
