MISSISSIPPI COMMISSION ON COLLEGE ACCREDITATION TO MEET WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9

The Mississippi Commission on College Accreditation will hold a meeting to discuss accreditation issues on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., in the Third Floor Conference Room, Office #334, of the Paul B. Johnson Tower Building within the Education and Research Center Complex, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, Mississippi, 39211.
The practice must be currently implemented on campus to be eligible for consideration for the award.
The practice must have a significant and measurable impact on institutional operation which must be evidenced in the documentation.
The practice must have the support and acceptance by those who benefit directly. An explanation and documentation must be presented showing how those benefiting embraced or supported the endeavor such as surveys, committees, focus groups, etc.
The program must demonstrate creativity, effectiveness and efficiencies including cost savings, positive net return, cost avoidance, productivity or service enhancement. The program will also be considered if the accomplishment brings positive national recognition to the institution.
The program must enhance achievement of the institution's strategic goals and objectives.
The program should serve as a model for possible replication at other institutions.
