I think he is just one of the many faculty from around the country who, although we don't teach at USM, are greatly sympathetic to the plight of USM faculty and staff and who are concerned about the precedents SFT has been setting.  Professor Ower also lives in Hattiesburg, I believe, so he has an even stronger interest in the matter than most of us.  I applaud his efforts and his eloquence.
