Doty was good for about the first 15 minutes, now he's just a tool. Looking much like he was just a hatchet man for Shelboo and Hanbury in the Pickering deal. Time for him to go away now.

newalum, I assume you have hear the CBEDers on the board talk about Doty's line "Don't worry I'm working on it". Well Vanilla has that same line in his song "If there's a problem, Yo, I'll solve it ...."
Given the similarities that have been observed between Vanilla Ice and Harold Doty, I have to ask --- was Vanilla Ice an associate professor at a sports school, too?

One of the plaintiff's facts in the case of Pickering v. USM et al. is that Doty and Ryan held Pickering a "virtual prisoner" in a 2.5 hour meeting. They threatened to fire him, slandered his job performance, made age-discrimination type statements about him, yelled at him and berated him.
Whoever said Doty and Ryan are Saddam's sons looks accurate.

I have not seen anything, but at this point all that has probably been filed is a complaint. That means it is just one side, the plaintiff's. Contained therein are allegations, claims, assertions, etc., that the plaintiff expects (or pretends to expect) to prove. The defendant(s) will eventually file a response of some sort that will likely have all sorts of facts, allegations, etc., that they expect (pretend to expect) to prove.
If you want to see an abbreviated version of this process, watch the World Series of Poker on ESPN.
Looks like the papers are really out there now. Hold on to your hats.
Right now Doty is NOT a named defendant in Pickering's lawsuit. He is frequently mentioned in the complaint. Please be careful what you say here and elsewhere because absolutely nothing has been proven yet. Anyone can file a lawsuit; that alone does not make statements true. Watch the fireworks.
The stories about what Doty said about Pickering's wife were out there a long time ago. All the dirt on Tim Ryan has been out a while too. These guys are awful.
