“There’s always a fear of change,” Morgan said.

Not always, my friend, not always.

The committee voted in favor of outsourcing (what was it 6 to 5?).  It was sent to Thames, but we have no report of Thames' decision.  Guess he approved if it's going to the board.

Sez Joe Morgan:

"They (Aramark?) 're going to do our people right," he said. "And if they (Aramark?) don't treat the employees well, they (the former employees ?) 'll come back to us."

Yeah, sure. And we (the University of Southern Mississippi) will tell them, "Hey, that's your problem. You don't work for us anymore. Take it to the chaplain."

Or are we supposed to believe that the University of Southern Mississippi is administered by a bunch of straight-shooting, stand up guys who will take care of the downtrodden former employees that might be exploited by our trading partner Aramark that builds lots of restaurants on our campus that we can point to with pride as our "progress"?

Puh-leez, Joe.

I saw that remark, and thought, "yes, that sounds like a real good way for the complaining employee to be fired."

What a bunch of hooey.
