They left after Spring '03...how far back does this list go?  Also, does a person with a visiting appointment really count as a departure?

Yes, a visiting appt. may just mean the job is not tenure track. Many faculty "visit" for years. It probably does not mean she is coming back.

Actually, Amy was visiting until she could get into a tenure track position. The two of them were hopinig to settle in at USM.


One of the things that convinced them that they should leave was the offer to Amy of an "unsearched" tenure-track position by DGT. The thought that hiring, tenure and promotion were so unorthodox scared them away.
