"Whether Mississippi National Guardsmen are on base or the battlefield, they now will have the opportunity to pursue a discounted master's degree in business."
I guess it's a really good thing that the USM CoB had an online MBA degree rammed down its collective throat last fall by Doty and the gang. Too bad Doty, Niroomand, Babin, Carter, and Posey weren't slick enough to outsource delivery of the digital MBA lectures to China and beat Fogelsong to the punch.
Has higher education in Mississippi run amuk? There seems to be no rhyme nor reason for many of the decisions made by the IHL Aren't they paying attention? Is there no coordination? Is everything political?

The point is simple. The IHL is now captalizing on lack of any desire on USM's part to draw a line on this. MSU and OLD Miss have been trampling all over us.
this is a picture about a story that was on WDAM last night and in the CL today, but not in the online edition. http://www.msstate.edu/web/phototemplate.php?Id=1299
I realize a number of folks on the board are not big on on-line course work and like programs but still, it is an embarassment for USM to get left at the starting gates on a program like this, especially when it has been one-upped by an inState competitor, literally in its own backyard...
