Apparently the Field Experience office in the COEP is being dismantled, and the FE people are being moved to serve under Dana's authority. This might fill 2 of those open positions, but the whole plan has huge holes in it and remains shrouded in secrecy and cronyism. It appears that lil' micromanager continues to put people directly under her tainted thumb. I don't know how this affects the secondary education programs.
My sources say this is true. The College of Education is one of USM's strongest foundations - it was the Normal College many years ago. Why would they be this seemingly eager to throw it all away at the hands of a comedy of dunces?

uhh, its a "confederacy of dunces," not a "comedy of dunces." Ever heard of a book by John Kennedy Toole?

How does moving FE under CISE make any sense whatsoever??? To place an entity in a department with inept leadership (i.e. significant decreases in enrollment and graduation rates, failure to follow college/university procedures, inability to get anyone to apply for their positions much less hire anyone but their own graduates, significant decreases in student credit hours, a publication rate far from respectable, etc.) hardly makes sense. Can someone help me understand how this makes any sense at all? Tis truly the Confederacy of Dunces.
