One of the stories out of CISE and acknowledged by MEW, a former colleague and assist. prof. in that dept., was that when DGT and Dr. Palmer were both up for the chair of the dept. - DGT and her co-hort CRK tried to dissuade MEW from voting for JP saying that he had been a "terrible Faculty Senate president" and had really "ruined the Faclty Senate". MEW says that's the day she realized that she could not trust these people to act in an honorable manner. JP served as a mentor to MEW and that had lots to do with DGT's change of heart with MEW.

I think the people in Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education (CISE) have plenty of reason to feel pretty paranoid these days. Hence all the initials.
