1. As was reported in an earlier mill, SFT was seriously stung by the upward move made by SFT. Word from the dome is that several comments, from the likes of LSM and CEM, of encouragement are being made to SFT. These range from statements like "You could easily get a job at a place like TAMU . . ." to "He got lucky, don't let it get you down . . ." Thanks domer for this uplifting news.
2. Accreditation troubles may be headed the CBED's way from over the horizon. Stories began circulating today that someone overheard HD mention in a conversation that he planned to "jet" before any accred team hits town. Thanks envelope.
3. Rumors are beginning that some of the new private food services coming to campus may learn the lessons of PP/MB/CC next fall. Thanks gorod.
4. Relatedly, news from grapevine indicates that AD could land, temporarily of course, at one of the new private contractors (food, books etc.) later this summer. This might be a way to have her transition back to the street. Thanks grapevine. We'll keep our eyes open.

Sorry folks, the second "SFT" above should be "GS".
While I'm not at all familiar with CBED's accreditation, I wouldn't be surprised if the accreditation team came in, and SFT "enlightened" them on what is really important in a "world-class" university business school.
Since he and his minion KM know everything about business, and they know what is best for "our institution", I would not have any doubt that they would dress the accreditation team down, and explain how their accreditation doesn't really mean anything in the "real world". In addition, SFT and KM probably hold the view that the vast majority of the CBED faculty are worthless academics, not fit for their vision of business education.
I don't know HD, but given that, I don't blame him for that viewpoint at all.
