Southern Miss could be looking at a radically revamped men's basketball roster for a third consecutive season.
The Golden Eagles signed three players to binding letters of intent in November. Now coach Larry Eustachy says he could add five or six more during the spring signing period that begins Wednesday - possibly at the expense of players already on the roster.
"We could sign as many as nine guys," Eustachy said. "My goal is not just to be an upper tier program in Conference USA behind Memphis. My goal is to be a conference champion like Memphis. We want to win. That's a must. We have to do that."
Apparently, one way to do it is by remaking the roster - even if it means cutting some players loose from their scholarships....
