"State College Board President Roy Klumb said the agreement between Gulf Coast and South Alabama is good for students. It is closer for some of them to go there than to USM's Gulf Park campus.
"If citizens in the state of Alabama are willing to help us educate our students, I'm all for it," said Klumb, who attended Gulf Coast."

In related news, articulation meetings between Gulf Coast & USM remain stalled. USM representatives act as if they are afraid to say anything, as if they don't know what's going on, etc. Gulf Coast now has articulation agreements signed or pending with Tulane, USA, and Carey. It does not have a signed agreement with USM. This is NOT due to any reluctance on the part of Gulf Coast.
Shrimp Picker thinks Klumb's statement is meant to be taken as sarcastic.
i'm not sure where all of the hangups are with the articulation agreements, but part of it lies with the changes in our general education requirements.
