I thought that only the name of the board would change. Everything else remains the same.

LTP,  I don't think that Maytwenty O'Seben was complaining.  I think he/she just wanted clarification as to whether or not the rules here were going to change.

It is helpful when the posters know what is and isn't allowed.  Keeps the discussions running smoother that way.

Thanks for your response but you did not answer the question of whether or not the powers that control the board support the free speech concept. You did tell me where to go if I did not like how this board is run without practicing your own "try a little tenderness" suggestion. Maytwenty O'Seben may just start a new board. If there are those that are interested in participating we could have a discussion on this board concerning that matter.....if Free Speech is still allowed. I will talk with my brother, Professor Waitingformay O'Seben. He is a real tech guy and some of us that are really wanting to discuss 07 and beyond in an open, honest, and free manner. If we can do it here we will stay.

What do you mean by "free speech", Maytwenty?  In your opinion, is the limitation to keep it PG 13 restricting your free speech.  I know how to tell someone to go to H*ll and still keep it nice and clean, I so I don't find that a limitation at all.    Do you think one person should be allowed to post under five different names on the same thread and have a conversation with themselves or attack another person and make it seem many are disagreeing with that person?  I don't consider limiting that bad behavior limiting my free speech because that activity destroys communication.

Maytwenty, I didn't take any offense.  I like to use the Cajun attitude of not being insulted by statements.  (They insist the statements are really compliments.  ) I did leave USM, but I'm still here working for our cause, if you know what I mean.  I'm not really angry, or at least I don't think about it that way, because I'm too busy working to end this terrible joke.   But people say anger is a great motivator, but be sure to use it constructively. 

I'm just curious, is O'Seben Irish?

No, O'Seben is not Irish. It't Shellbineeze. I also want to change the spelling of my given name. It is really Maytwinnee. Not Maytwenty. The Dome informed me that my official USM records had my correct spelling as Maytwinnie. I guess I will have to yield to the power of the throne and change the spelling of my name. It appears that May 20, 07 is an important date over there.

It't sorta like w'url class. I can see why they made that mistake over in the Dome. I hope that they have not gotten Brother's name mixed up....it sure would be a job to get his PERS stuff straightened out.

On a higher note, this poster is very serious. We need to look forward. May 20, 2007 is closer than we think. We ALL have to look at where we are now, hold together, and try to rectify the SINS that have been committed against OUR BELOVED INSTITUTION.

It is now time for action. We have seen the MSU proceedings. We may not do much better in our process. If we sit back, we will not. If we step forward, we will.
