I apologize in advance if this post is considered bad form for this message board. If this is really out of line, please ignore or delete as necessary.
I don't know too much about his background or involvement in what went on at MSU, but it appears that Jack Hanbury is leading an attempt to have Coach Tubby Smith fired from the University of Kentucky. Does anyone know why (other than his disdain for the Coach and UK Men’s basketball woes this season)? Could anyone provide some insight as to his possible motivations? It looks like he’s picked up some tricks from his involvement in the MSU scandal, so I’m looking for some background information. If anyone can help, please speak up. Thanks!!

Does MSU = USM (University of Southertn Mississippi in your post?
Thanks for the reply, but I had no luck using Google and those names. If you could point me to some link regarding that, I would be most appreciative.
I am reading the old FST message board for background information. I came across the glossary entry for Mr. Hanbury, which was helpful. I noticed that the term “No Quarter” was used as a rallying point for a lot of posters. Oddly, Jack Hanbury (aka John I. Hanbury, Litig8tr) was using that same slogan in his posts on the Lexington Herald-Leader message board.
Again, I apologize if this opens old wounds or is considered bad form. Thanks in advance for any assistance!
This is really funny. Looks like old Jack started his own version of Fire Shelby. Sorry, Jack. It is true. Tubby is an honorable man. Can't say that about you know who.

UKFan, can you provide us with a link to the Lexington Herald-Leader message board so we can read the post being discussed? Thanks.
You can poke around that message board for more. He posts under a couple of names, but mostly under Litig8tr. I'll check back later and post some more specific links if anyone is interested. Someone else made the connection to the USM scandal, and he has been pretty quite since then. However, since he started this tirade, he put over 2000 posts there, which lead to some speculation that he might be billing clients for time he is spending on the internet. Based on what I’ve read about his past with USM, I would not be surprised.
What a joke! When it came to "fire" Appeal he was on the defensive! He helped SFT fire Greene and now he starts his own blog to get rid of Tubby. What amount does he donate to UK sports if any? Seems to me like he cannot donate much sitting aroung playing games on his computer instead of working!
It seems that Jack now claims that he was unaware of the "Fire Shelby" petition. Does anyone find this claim credible? Is it possible that he really did not know about it? It seems unlikely, but I thought I would check with the folks who had some history in this area. Thanks!

UKFan, this claim is pitifully weak, since one of the reasons that Hanbury was hired by the university president was to 'monitor faculty,' including unannounced self-invited visits to the Faculty Senate meetings. Most USM faculty and staff believe that among Jack H's "other duties" was monitoring the posts on the "Fire Shelby" bulletin board.
