I have only seen the NCAA brackets; did USM make the N.I.T. tournament?

Uhh, yes they did.  In fact,  I'm pretty sure USM is the number 1 seed. Better book your flight for the Big Apple today,  before all seats are taken.

If you book a flight to the Big Apple, you'll miss seeing the NIT finals.  If you read the long post by the South MS Eagle fan, you'll learn that USM beat Duke in the 1987 NIT Championship Game that was played in the Boston Garden.

This is 2006.  The 2006 NIT semi-finals and championship game will be played at Madison Square Garden.  That's a large multi-purpose arena in New York City.  New York City is often referred to as "The Big Apple."

You must have confused Mississippi Southern with Georgia Southern...I see GA Southern in the brackets...

I don't know about USM, but the news here in Music City is that Vandy will play in the NIT. Of course, tiny little Belmont College is going to the NCAA to play UCLA...good for them!

Truth (not really a basketball fan, but I pretend for my sports fan friends!)

Sorry...that's Belmont University not College!

Guess they are more "wurl' class" than USM right now!

Belmont . . . one of the most successful music industry programs in the country.
