Compare the postseason records. I think Green was 5 and 7 plus one year they did not qualify for the CUSA tourney. Eustachy is 1 and 1 with a year they did not qualify for the tourney.

Eustachy 1 0-0 (DNQ) 0-0 (no invite) 0-0 (no invite)
Eustachy 2 1-1 0-0 (no invite) 0-0 (no invite)
Green 1 0-1 0-0 (no invite) 0-0 (no invite)
Green 2 2-1 0-1 0-0 (no invite)
Green still in the lead after 2 years using post-season comparisons.
Here's an interesting comparison. After 2 seasons, Eustachy is 15-14 in the friendly confines of Reed Green Coliseum, including 2 wins against William Carey and one each against Spring Hill and West Florida (that's an 11-14 record against D1 teams at home after 2 years). James Green was 19-6 in RGC after his first 2 seasons, and that didn't include competition against any non-D1 opponents.
Anyway you slice it, Green makes Eustachy look silly.
Here it comes. Angry Eagle fan thrashing about desperate to find some shred of evidence that Eustachy is better than Green. Forget that Eustachy has been handed a much larger recruiting budget. Forget that Eustachy has been allowed to schedule many more non-D-I opponents. Forget that Eustachy is coaching in the watered-down Conference USA while Green faced a much better conference. Forget that the real supporters of USM basketball are backing away from Eustachy. Just keep telling yourself that Eustachy's the man for the job. While you're at it, tell yourself that a stork brings babies and a man in a red suit comes down your chimney the night before every December 24th.
Forget that I agree that most of what you say isn't true, but that YOU WON'T LET IT GO for God's sake.
BTW, if the stork brings me & the Mrs. a baby this X-mas, cigars & trusts funds for us all. Some of us just aren't physically able to make little Golden Eagles.
It's over and beyond anything we WILL do, man. Don't hurt the kids playing roundball for USM, they are students, remember?
Well, FWIW, Eustachy has won a national award as Coach of the Year. I'm guessing, as a critic, you have a similar honor on your mantle? Otherwise, SHUT YOUR PIEHOLE JOHNSON

Yes, and he also has a 15-38 record at USM and had a losing record at Iowa State before getting fired for his drunken frat boy act. That National Coach of the Year Award belongs to Tim Floyd, and anybody who knows basketball will tell you that. Eustachy has never built a program nor has he won anything with his own players. Until he wins something, he will just be a guy who was in the right place at the right time. He's no coach.
