Another CoB Resignation
Permalink Closed

Sources in the CoB tell me that the Director of the School of Accountancy, Dr. Rod Posey, has resigned that administrative post effective August 15, 2006.

The same sources also tell me that this dovetails with ending the MIS program in some way.

It's true.  You haven't heard all about the MIS program yet either.  Too hot to handle.

I heard he was growing uncomfortable about the level of participation being requested of him during a recent COB blowup.  And that's in addition to the MIS fiasco.

Would that be the "secret degree" program?

Another call to a CoB friend reveals that there may be another department chair departure on the horizon, this one public information already in the CoB.

Let's connect the dots.  The MIS program is about to "be concluded."  This plan will terminate two untenured assistants, JC and WS.  CH and SL will be "coaxed" into retirement.  That leaves DD and SM.  SM will be left behind to "clean out" the current MIS students.  DD will be elevated to School's Director.  This works out fine.  DD won't have to "start" going to ET meetings, she already does now.

I think you mean "FL" in place of "WS."  Other than that mixup, I really like your theory.  It is the one I'm buying.
