Helps manage the office, edits Oral History transcripts, and teaches an Anthropology course.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Adheres to University and department policies, procedures, and regulations.
Edits Oral History transcripts.
Corresponds with interviewees.
Teaches Anthropology course.
Advises students on classes, schedules, and degree requirements.
Maintains the Oral History collection.
Writes grants.
Helps manage office by answering the telephone and assisting visitors.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or equivalent; or more than 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Teach a class and, oh, answer the phone, will you? Part-time? That was bizarre. And at a level 10, it doesn't even pay anything. (What Anthropology class would you teach?)
Don't forget the part about maintaining the Oral History Transcripts. What kind of journal would you advertise a position that has all of those various duties?
Who does the Center for Oral History belong to? History or Anthro? (Actually, it sounds like it would be a good job except for the teaching component, just unsure how it would work part-time.)
