Nothing sinister with CFO search
Permalink Closed

I sat in on a meeting this week with my supervisor about possible CFO replacements.  The administration singled out four possibilities in Tim Ryan, Shadad someting (can't spell last name), Kelly Booth, and the business manager at Reese Law Firm (forgot name).

There was no mention of Jay Grimes or Ken Malone etc. so I think this may be a legitimate search for a good replacement.

Don't be too sure, Jenny....

Kellie Booth=Ken Malone's wife (and I don't believe she has ANY CFO-type experience at all).

The cesspool of nepotism continues....

Truth

It's Shahdad Naghshpour. He's associate prof of business and head of, I do believe, the International Devlopment graduate program that's HQ'd on the Coast.

Shaddad's degrees are in economics with further work in statistics.  Finance/accounting is not part of their preparation.

Didn't Reese group represent Dr. Thames in the Glamser/Stringer case?

He's no longer associated with the CoB.  He's strictly with the IDV/ED, Ken Malone gang.  So at least 2 of the 4 candidates have very strong ties to KM.  This sounds extraordinarily sinister to me.  Puppet regime, anyone?

He's been a supporter of Thames from the start--was on faculty senate for a while--and was always defending SFT.

Whoever (whomever?) is chosen should remember -- time is short.

My supervisor told me that Professor Shadad is the leading candidate.  The business manager from Reese Law Firm is very interested in the position if the first place candidate turns in down.  The other two didn't rank as high and have bowed out of the running to remain in their current positions.

And does your supervisor know that you're sharing everything he/she tells you on this message board? Gimme a break . . .

Shadad Nagshpour is part of USMGC, but he is on campus today for a series of meetings.  This could be the real thing.  Maybe an announcement in a few days/weeks on it.

Oh, I wasn't questioning the validity of the information, just the "my supervisor told me" scenario, which is a tad lame.
