I was talking to a sports insider the other day who mentioned that Eustachy's team rarely practices offense. Players are expected to practice offensive skills (shooting, passing, etc.) on their own. Practice time is devoted to defense and conditioning.

Sounds like the formula is working. As mentioned after the Memphis game, USM shoots an abysmal percentage from the free throw line. I guess we now know why...it's just not important enough to spend time on. Versus Rice, the team shot 12 for 22 for a 54.5% success rate from the line. USM lost by 6 and left at least 10 points at the line (don't know how many of those misses were the front end of a one-and-one). There's the game right there.

Of the 12 teams in CUSA, only East Carolina has a worse CUSA record than USM.
