I hope that everyone will accept my most humble apologies for not making a lasting difference in your technological lives(yet). It was my desire to make technology more accessible to you and your students, and to help iTech be more responsive to your needs. I realized early on that unless the mindset in iTech was changed, my endeavors would be an exercise in futility. With a large dose of optimism I gave it my best try with the tools at my disposal – such as they are.
Being in the CoAL was a special fit for me. I am truly passionate about each one of your departments, and then some. I will miss the diversity of our conversations, especially those that were not about technology. It was a unique experience and I enjoyed it.
If I spouted some doublespeak like, “Technology isn’t really a solution to anything; it’s just a tool that can be applied to help resolve a perceived problem,” it was a joke. You can laugh now. Please try to pardon my twisted humor.
I wanted to do a “shout-out” list but it would be too long. No kidding – there really are a lot of you. Besides, I may not be going far.
There are a LOT of GREAT folks in iTech. Don't let the ones who believe their own doublespeak taint the rest of them.
Along the same lines. I'd like to congratulate our CTO, Bill Parker, and his wife. A series of iterations on a non-Windows replicable cycle (Verson 1.0) has just produced a scalable hardware output with optical scanner and language capabilities. Has a harddrive with close to unlimited capacity and both redundant non-redundand processors hardwired in multiplexed series/parallel configurations. Non-AI heuristics will develop soon if standard programming approaches are utilized, and will bifurcate and self-generate into female software code.
Bill, as the licensee of three beta versions of the model you have in hand, my advice is that if a hardware or software error occurs in your beautiful little girl, ignore your first instinct and don't attempt a re-boot. Purchase an I-POD peripheral, and toss in the server room-close door quickly. That will solve most malfunctions.

You will see that it comes with a user-friendly owner's manual

Brandon . . . your were great for us in Theatre and Dance. I bitched about this change but of course it didn't make a damn bit of difference. Just one more example of an administration that seems consistent in its inconsistency . . . Thanks for all of your work and your good humor.
