With the enrollment drop, how much money does USM stand to lose? Can USM find a way to operate "in the black"? Does anyone have any idea about how many faculty (campus wide) are eligible for retirement and the proverbial "gold watch"?
Sure, USM will lose money with an enrollment drop. Lots of it. Don't be too eager for faculty members to retire to make up the deficit, nest prophet margarine. A first step should be voiding those outrageous administrative raises.
