A friend of mine in IL sent this to me today. OK, the author's not just poking fun at USM, but the phrase, "Ayn Rand Memorial Self-Actualization Award" cracked me up!

LOL! Vacuous branding happens when you outsource recruitment, I guess. Interesting to see that some pretty good schools also fell for it. Well, I'm off to work at the old "profit center" to cater to our "consumers" so I can participiate in some solid "economic development activities" that are "outcomes based" and show some "accountability" to the "management team."


I just love the new language of higher education.
