They are congratulating Thames and blaming the whole thing on mid-level administrators who were loyal to Fleming and wanted to hurt Thames by not telling him about impending SACS doom.

Congratulating Thames?  LOL! I congratulate the faculty who pulled Thames out of his latest fiasco. I only hope that whatever "committee" associated with saving SACS that sits on yet another line of faculty members' vitas probably under the heading of Service gets the credit due. I doubt it does, but I sincerely hope it happens.

Haven't your heard, they will get "stealth raises" in January for "outstanding service" and saving the University?

I also would like to congratulate & commend the faculty who worked to resolve the probation "crisis." It is important to me that, regardless of how they feel about SFT, those faculty members cared about my alma mater & did some pretty heavy lifting.

(I apologize to the group for not posting last night -- at approximately 5:15 PM -- when I found out that the probation would be officially lifted, but it might've blown my cover. It would also have delayed me from attending an especially important business meeting with my professional organization & I didn't want to risk missing the open bar. Yikes!)
