He's mad at Sonya Varnell, USM's Associate Athletics director, for making life difficult for his guys over in athletics.  Check out Kareem Copeland's article in yesterday's HA for details.  This got things testy yesterday afternoon across campus.  Phone calls and "a talkin' to" were had.

"But neither Varnell, Giannini nor Oberhelman could imagine a $34 million error.

"I could definitely never envision that happening at Southern Miss," Oberhelman said. "Things that jump out at you are easy to spot. I don't know how that would come about."


 


It couldn't happen because our budget is a fraction of that of UT.
