Losco said members of the AAUP agreed the original pool of candidates could have been stronger.
“I think it’s an important and a bit courageous decision for her because she was getting a lot of heat from a variety of sources about this,” Losco said. “I think that ultimately it shows that she did listen carefully to faculty concerns and took them seriously. I’m pleased that she took her time, and I think she made a good decision.”

I saw EP's webcast talk at Ball State, and I've learned that maybe it is not such a good idea to open a job talk with the line "I've wanted to work here ever since I came here to judge a model airplane competition."
Does this guy have any real academic background? All he ever talks about are these childish hobbies like pyrotechnics and flying toys.
