Just got my latest Talon and read Tiny's self-serving article about himself, his love for USM, and his unparalleled accomplishments. I thought Darth Mader had gone. Sounds like she is still writing his material. Talks about how USM is, for the first time, in good financial condition. Sorry, Tiny, that won't sell. USM has always been in sound financial condition. Just that your cronies on the IHL from MS State and OLD Miss country never would give us what we needed. This is just so much self-serving bullsh@t. How about SACS probation? Massive departures of good faculty? Gigantic screw ups in programs? Sorry, Tiny, we ain't buying. You have done incredible damage to USM. We ain't buying the praise you are heaping on yourself. We are just counting. Every day that passes brings us closer to getting your ass out of Dodge. Now that is something to look forward to.
What a petty person you are.Everyone else in the community is working to recover and help their neighbors and friends, but you have alot of free time to bitch and moan about Thames. You must be the poster child for the USM faculty.
Don't you know that fault for Hurricane Katrina lies squarely on the shoulders of Thames and Bush? If they were better leaders, then the hurricane wouldn't have hit the continental U.S. If we all bad-mouth our leaders enough, it will legitimize our politically-based hatred for these people.
The truth about Thames and his crowd lies in their behavior after the storm. Not one word of concern about the Gulf Coast faculty, students, and staff.

It's funny you can find time between saving lives to read this board.

Thames has USM ready to go to work next week. All the profs are whining because they don't have power and they don't want to go to work.

Really? And that would be because he turned the fountain on and sent the football team out of state to practice? Working woman, your time on the streets has evidently affected your brain.

Whoa just a doggone minute there, Working Woman. Thames has USM ready? All by himself. Maybe that's why he hasn't been on the news. He's put together the USM campus in good enough order to reopen singlehandedly. Wow! What a guy!
And "all the profs" are whining? I've seen like one or two professors asking whether this was a good decision or making the case that it will be difficult. I haven't noticed anyone whining, and I have noticed that out of 400 or so faculty, about 395 or so of them have said nothing at all on this board about it. The professors I know personally there are mostly in the area and are helping neighbors and friends to get through this thing. Time for you to get back out there and hustle another two-bits.
